In order to set up out-of-office on your email, you need to do this through a web browser, preferably Google Chrome.

NOTE: IF YOU CAN'T GO THE THE WEB ADDRESS SPECIFIED BELOW, IT COULD BE BECAUSE YOUR SERVER IS NOT CONFIGURED FOR VACATION/OUT-OF-OFFICE MESSAGES. YOU WILL NEED TO CONTACT US TO GET THIS INSTALLED (http://support.anthian.co.uk)

You'll need your user name (usually just your first name) and your email password.

Also you need to know your mail server address, either mx.<your domain>.co.uk or mail.<your domain>.co.uk .

Please follow these simple steps

  1. Using the address bar of your browser, go to http://<your server address>/user  (e.g. mail.mycompany.co.uk/user)
  2. You may get a message telling you that "your connection isn't private" - if you do, click on Advanced and Proceed to domain even though it says it's unsafe. It isn't.
  3. Log in with your user name and email password.
  4. Click on Vacation Message

  5. Delete the pre-filled-in message that appears on the next page and replace is with your message. Note that the first two lines form the "from" address and the subject and must be separated with a blank line from the body of the email e.g.
    From: Joe Bloggs <joe@mycompany.co.uk>
Subject: Re $SUBJECT - away from my email

This is an automated reply. I am on leave from 24/12/2014 and back in the office on 2/1/2015. In my absence please call 01234567890 or email fred@bloggs.co.uk. Or alternatively wait for my return when I will plough through my emails and get back to you as soon as possible.

    Kind regards

    Joe

  6. Select "Yes" where it say Enable Vacation Messages and click Save

  7. Now click Logout on the left

Please note that only one out of office message per week will be sent to each sender.

Also please note that to switch off the out of office message, just log in as above and set Enable Vacation Messages to No and click Save
