Our remote support system is very simple to set up. It works like this:

  • We arrange a convenient to to do a remote support session (or we do it on demand when you phone or email us)
  • If you have a support contract with us and you have given us prior permission to access your computer, we just hop on and do the work
  • If you have used us before, we may have left a remote support icon on your desktop. It'll say "Anthian Remote Support"
  • If you have not got an icon on your desktop, please follow the instructions below

Please do not use this service unless you have made prior arrangement for a remote support session - we do not do remote support work unless you have booked it with us!

Instructions

1. Open your web browser (usually Google Chrome or Internet Explorer)
2. In the address bar at the top of the window (NOT the search field) delete what's already there and  type www.instantremote.co.uk
3. The web page should look like this: 


4. Click on "Download remote support". It's under a megabyte and should take under 10 seconds to download

  • In Google Chrome, you'll see a file appear at the bottom left of the window, 
  • and in Internet Explorer, you'll see a prompt asking you to download or run: Click Run
5. You'll get a couple of warnings about running software - just click "Yes" or "Run" if asked.
6. You'll see a couple of progress bars, which could take a minute or so to install the first time you use this service


7. Eventually, you'll see a window that looks like this one on the right.

8. Fill in at least your name, and other details if you want to (it's not important) and click Submit

9. We will shortly take over your computer, and follow up the session with a phone call or email.
