If you have a YeaLink T48S desk phone, here are some simple steps to change/add your own speed keys.
Adding a speed dial key
Step 1 - hold your finger down on the speed key you want to add
Step 2 - You should see a new screen which asks for the type. Tap the down-pointing arrow and choose 'Speed dial'
Step 3 - Tap the screen in the label field
Step 4 - Type in the name you want to appear for the speed dial, press Next and type in the phone number, as shown in this example.
Then click 'Done'
Editing a speed key
Editing a speed key is a similar process - just hold your finger on an existing key
Adding a key for an internal extension
This is slightly different from adding a regular speed key. Internal extension speed keys are called 'BLF' (stands for 'Busy-lamp-field' - this shows when an extension is busy or not).
- Hold your finger on the key as described earlier
- Choose the option 'BLF' (not speed dial as before)
- Fill in the label field with the name you want to show on your speed dial
- For the 'Value' field, enter your site prefix code (ask Anthian for this) plus the extension number. This will be a total of 9 digits.
- For the 'Extension' field, this isn't used, and can be left blank - just hit 'done'.
