This guide explains how to setup a new email account on an iPhone or iPad running a recent version of iOS (e.g. iOS 13 or 14).
- On your device, go to Settings --> Mail --> Accounts (Note this is Settings --> Password and Accounts in iOS 13)
- Tap Add Account
- Select Microsoft Exchange
- type in your email address and a description e.g. 'work email'
- Tap Next
- You'll be asked if you want to configure manually or sign in. Tap Sign in as shown here
- You'll get a screen that looks like this:
If the screen does NOT look like this, then you've typed the email address wrong, or it isn't set up yet - Cancel and start again! - Type your password and tap Sign in
- You'll be asked if you want to save the password. Tap Save Password
- You may get a screen like this:
Just tap on Accept - You should briefly see a couple of tick-marks and then a screen like this:
The choice is up to you; you'll need at least Mail selected, but you can also choose calendars if you want to the calendar synced with the Microsoft service (recommended). You may get a prompt to keep existing calendars or not - you should tap Keep on my phone - Finally, tap Save and that should be it, you should now be able to send and receive mail using the Mail app.
